This is incredibly heartbreaking.
It’s been revealed Bethenny Frankel’s on-again, off-again boyfriend Dennis Shields was able to communicate with police and EMT shortly before he passed.

Per TMZ, the banker told the responding authorities he had taken his prescribed oxycodone, Vicodin, and a sleeping pill to help with his back pain from an injury. Patients are usually warned not to mix opioids with sleeping pills or anything that will sedate the body as it could result in death from the drugs slowing down the respiratory system.
And sadly in this case, Dennis’ message to EMTs and police were his last words.
Law enforcement sources say they also found prescription drugs around his apartment in Trump Tower, but nothing illicit.
As we previously reported, he passed away last week, having tried to be revived by his assistant with Narcan. TMZ added a second dose was administered before responding authorities also gave him an additional dose.
An official cause of death has yet to be revealed.
