He may have helped give audiences lots of happy endings being an absolute rom com legend… but Dermot Mulroney‘s IRL romance has come to a sad end. The beloved star of hits going back to My Best Friend’s Wedding and The Wedding Date to as recent as Anyone But You has now filed for divorce from his wife of over 15 years.
Shortly after his divorce from Catherine Keener, Dermot met and married an Italian woman named Tharita Cesaroni in 2008 (or 2010, depending who you ask). She is also sometimes credited as Tharita Catullé — but changed her name to Prima Apollinaare in 2015, apparently when she started an acting career.
The couple have two teenage daughters together — Mabel Ray, 17, and Sally June, 15. Oof, that makes this messier. Damn.

We don’t know how long Dermot and Prima have been separated, but we guess he’s ready to make it permanent. The Scream VI actor filed for divorce on Saturday, citing irreconcilable differences. People got hold of the documents and found that, surprisingly, he’s requesting spousal support from her! Huh. On attorney’s fees and custody, he’s asking for everything to be split evenly, and “all community earnings and accumulation during marriage through the date of separation” to be considered community property… But he wants spousal support? Isn’t he the movie star?
