Basketball Player Derrick Rose Accused Of Drugging & Gang Raping Woman — Details Here
This is pretty crazy.
Basketball player Derrick Rose is being sued by a woman, only going by Jane Doe, who claims the former MVP and two friends drugged and gang raped her.
Ms. Jane Doe claims that she and the Chicago Bulls played dated from 2011 to 2013. While they dated she says that he tried to get her to masturbate in front of him, and even tried to have sex with her friends and have group sex with them!
The plaintiff says that the relationship ended in August of 2013 when the NBA player and his two friends, Ryan Allen and Randall Hampton — who also happens to be Rose’s personal manager — invited her to Rose’s home in Beverly Hills. That’s when she says they drugged her drink with the intention of raping her.
The accuser says that she escaped the house with a friend of hers but later that night, Rose and his friends broke into her apartment and gang raped her while she was knocked out.
As for why it’s taken so long for the woman who’s seeking unspecified damages to come forward, Ms. Doe says she waited because she was “ashamed and embarrassed” of the events and worried that her “conservative family” might find out.
Rose’s attorney, Lisa Cohen, has responded to these allegations saying, it’s just “an attempt to shake down a highly respected and successful athlete.”
Cohen goes on to say that Rose and this woman were in a “non-exclusive, consensual sexual relationship for over two years” and there were never any problems or complaints until lawyers told her to try and seek a payday from Rose. Rose’s legal rep also said this is the third lawyer the woman has tried to hire for the case. Cohen emphasized how ridiculous the claims are by saying:
“We have complete confidence that the case will be dismissed and that Mr. Rose will be vindicated. This lawsuit is outrageous.”
