Last night, we reported that the LAPD raided Charlie Sheen’s house to reportedly remove as many at 47 firearms from his home, under the request of his ex-wife, Brooke Mueller and her restraining order she was granted last week. We now have more detailed information about what really happened at Sober Valley Lodge last night and what the police actually found.
To begin, Charlie was not arrested nor was he placed on 5150 psychiatric hold. At the time of the “raid”, sources reveal that Charlie was at home, with his lawyer and some friends, eating hamburgers for dinner. The police searched Charlie’s home for weapons NOT because of Brooke’s restraining order, but because someone, who remains anonymous, claimed Charlie had a gun and that he intended to harm himself with it.
Charlie apparently was nothing but cooperative with the LAPD and when their search was over, they found only one possible weapon – a rifle from the 1800s with only a “few bullets.” That’s…significantly less than 47.
After the police left Charlie’s home, he told his followers on Twitter that everything was fine and that the police were more than polite. He tweeted:
“#fastball; the LAPD were AWESOME. Absolute pros! they can protect and serve this Warlock anytime!!! c”
Huh. Well, that was a whole bunch of hoopla for nothing. Granted, we’re glad to hear that people are responding to his behavior more seriously, but seeing as it turned out be a waste of the police’s time, we’re starting to wonder who exactly called them in the first place.
If it was Brooke, then we understand…but are we crazy ourselves to believe that this anonymous tip might have come from inside the house, if you know what we mean.
Just saying.
