This is long overdue!
The Daytime Emmy Awards will be honoring Dick Clark at this year’s show, which will be filmed in Las Vegas for the first time ever.
Some of the celebs that are lined to pay their respects to the entertainer are Cher, Barry Manilow, Garth Brooks, Marie Osmond, Jay Leno, and Simon Cowell.
Executive producer David McKenzie spoke of this year’s broadcast, saying:
“Since this is the first time the Daytime Emmys will be based outside New York or L.A., we’re putting together a special that will tap into the energy and excitement of Las Vegas. This will be an entertainment driven awards presentation that viewers will embrace.”
Good! We hope it won’t be the usual snoozefest!
