We’re guessing a lot of celebs are starting to panic as the case against Diddy coalesces. But at the top of that list? The most terrified? Music executives!
That’s the new claim coming from multiple insiders in the biz this week, at least. And if all of these sources are to be believed, then a LOT of very powerful people at the pinnacle of the music industry may just be shaking in their boots right now…

On Thursday, powerful attorney Bryan Freedman told Page Six that amid the seemingly endless wave of accuser lawsuits filed against Diddy, the most shocking news is soon to follow. He warned that names will be named of music artists, executives, and others who were allegedly involved with Diddy’s activities, and “the names will shock you.” Freedman cryptically claimed:
“Many people at the highest level, including artists, executives, managers and others are not sleeping well right now. Those who have knowingly allowed and/or encouraged the behavior while remaining silent should be concerned.”
Whoa!!
That would certainly be in line with what attorney Tony Buzbee said in his press conference Tuesday — that the accusers “will expose the enablers who enabled this conduct behind closed doors.” He, too, said the list includes “many powerful people.”
Freedman is getting out in front of it now because, as he explained, he currently represents “a number of people” in the industry who are worried their names will be dragged through the mud despite no supposed wrongdoing on their end! The lawyer, who also recently dropped Brandi Glanville as a client in an unrelated case, said:
“I represent a number of people who have been concerned about being wrongfully mentioned or rumored to be a part of this just by an association unrelated to any wrongdoing… they don’t want to part of some rumor mill because they have some tangential connection to Combs.”
Woof. We can only imagine the inner rumblings and turmoil going on behind the scenes — both for those who have ties to Diddy and those who don’t. Not an easy time for MANY people in the music biz!!!

To that end, in fact, an anonymous music industry source is also dropping the dime on those close to Diddy, as well. Speaking cryptically about it, this unnamed insider claimed:
“People who worked with Diddy very closely, I’m sure they’re terrified and God knows what they were around.”
A second legal source in Hollywood went even further. Saying that “everyone” knows people who partied with Diddy in the past, this second insider claimed that THOUSANDS of people could have seen some s**t go down:
“Everyone knows someone who was at a party with Diddy. There must be 5,000 people who could have seen anything remotely bad that they worry they should have reported.”
BIG yikes!
Other legal experts are expecting that more music industry people could soon be dragged into the legal case against the Bad Boy Records founder, too. That third source laid it out for Page Six:
“He had a very significant and successful career and had a number of top artists at his company. He worked with MTV and a number of different labels, he had distribution deals with Universal, with Sony and he would show up at industry events, whether it was the Grammys or a charitable function.”
However!!! The third anonymous source actually pumped the brakes on the cryptic comments made by people like Freedman (above). Instead, this mole claimed they have “not seen evidence” to suggest any record label execs were around for any of these shocking activities:
“Do I believe there is even a remote possibility that any label exec ever was at his home when any of these or hotels alleged activities? Maybe, but I’ve not seen evidence to support it … I’m sure there were people aware of what was going on, but Combs will have limited it to a relatively close circle that he trusted and with whom he was close.”
Hmmm…
In the end, this third source also shared their belief the government is trying to get a big group of potential witnesses together to flip on Diddy before it all goes public:
“The government seems to be focused on getting to people who will turn over on Diddy, making sure they can make their case.”
That’s how the feds do it!
Oof. Music execs sweating and losing sleep, the feds circling the wagons, and Diddy still languishing in jail. Wild AF!! It’s a LOT to digest. And to think that the hammer could yet fall on some other major names in music, too… JEEZ!!!
