We have a new update on one of the most shocking teasers from this ever-widening Diddy scandal.
Last Friday, Ariel Mitchell-Kidd, a lawyer for one of the music mogul’s alleged victims claimed she was “contacted by someone who wanted [her] to essentially represent them” in the sale of a sex tape. A Diddy sex tape. She told NewsNation‘s Banfield she “declined” — but the big headline was that this thing was out there. Someone got hold of it and wasn’t giving it to the government — they were trying to make a buck. And they figured they could make the most from the person featured on it, as Ariel explained she was asked “to contact the person who was in the video to see if they were interested in purchasing the video before it became a public knowledge.”
Sounds a lot like blackmail to us. Why did they think that would work? Because of who the person is. Someone Ariel described as a “more high-profile” figure than even Diddy. That would be a HUGE star.

The attorney didn’t say who was on the tape but did confirm it was real. The seller apparently sent proof:
“I’ve seen stills of the video. [I can verify] that it exists, that it’s real, that the other person in the video is very visible. It’s no question if it’s that person in the video, and I can tell the video was pornographic in nature.”
She also said the person didn’t seem to know they were being recorded.
Now the NY Post has a lot more insight. Two members of the star’s inner circle have spilled about what’s going with him right now. First off, yes, it’s a him. The star is described as a younger male star than Diddy. Second, he knows all about the tape — and it has him sweating.
The first source told the outlet:
“It’s triggering. It feels like a betrayal and a violation, and it’s causing a lot of issues. It brings up some really disturbing and bad memories.”
Damn. It really sounds like this person was a victim of Diddy’s more than a willing participant. The insider confirms that, saying:
“It’s a total nightmare. He feels like he was victimized years ago and is now being victimized yet again. If this footage gets out, it will follow him for life. It will be on the internet forever.”
Damn. So messed up that Diddy’s prosecution may end up hurting some of his victims.
Clearly the star didn’t pay off the seller. But that may not actually have even been an option. Apparently the latest reports say multiple individuals are trying to sell the tape. Only that one, so far as we know, tried to reach out to the star first. So what can the A-lister do?
The other insider told the Post he’s just “trying to ignore” all the noise about this right now… even if it’s creating a sense of dread for him. They said:
“There’s not much he can do about it, if there was a video taken without his knowledge that somehow gets out. So all he can do is pray. He’s praying that this all goes away.”
Pray. Not pay. Interesting.
He does apparently have one thing that might save him. No one is buying yet. The Post said “several members of the media” have told them they were approached with the tape. None chose to purchase it because of legal ramifications — one key consideration being the celebrity’s age. Yeah. It sounds like there’s concern the tape might qualify as CSAM.
Considering we know Diddy has been accused of sexually abusing several minors, that wouldn’t be out of the realm of possibility. Upsetting news all around. We really feel bad for the star, whoever he is.
