Diddy is doing everything he can to avoid jail time if found guilty!
The disgraced music mogul faces 15 years to life in prison if convicted of sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy. Although it will be weeks before a jury reaches a verdict, one expert already feels Diddy won’t be coming out of this trial victorious. Based on the testimony of his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura alone this week, former Assistant US Attorney Neama Rahmani thinks the rapper will be found guilty. It’s news Diddy doesn’t want to hear. The guy has been desperately trying to leave jail since his arrest. And while every other attempt has failed, he’s hoping a plan he set in motion last year will work if things don’t turn out in his favor…
According to a new report from Rolling Stone on Friday, close associates of Diddy started to get close to those in the inner circle of Donald Trump the second he won the presidential election in November. Why? He’s eyeing a pardon.

Two anonymous sources familiar with the situation and another briefed on it claimed several longtime friends and allies of the Bad Boy Records founder reached out to Trump transition and administration officials and others close to him in the months leading up to his second administration. An insider who has known Diddy for a decade added that while the record producer dislikes the President, he is so desperate he will do anything, including having his team buddy up to him:
“He’s willing to do anything to get out of jail. He’s always been this way. He’s always going to do what he has to do to get out of a situation. He doesn’t even like Donald Trump.”
The sources say the conversations are in the early stages but ongoing, while one person familiar with the matter described it as Diddy’s team “making connections with the Trump team” — all in the hopes of securing a pardon or commutation if needed. People who’ve known the Sean John designer know how to go about trying to get it, too.
While talking to Trump’s government and social circle, Diddy’s allies reportedly are spinning the story as both men are victims, unfairly targeted by the feds and prosecutors just because they are successful celebrities, and that they’ve had dealt with several of what they say to be false sexual assault allegations. (But as a reminder to everyone, Trump was found liable for sexual abuse before.) One of the sources familiar with the conversations said:
“The words ‘deep state’ came up once or twice.”
JFC.
Sean Combs’ allies also brought up to the administration officials and other MAGA contacts that he and Trump have known each other for years. The President even vouched for his character once. Remember the old clip from Celebrity Apprentice that went around after the sex trafficking charges? He referred to Diddy as a “good friend” and “good guy” to Aubrey O’Day, a member of Danity Kane who spoke out about the producer’s misconduct for years. He’s even attended events hosted by Diddy. When Trump launched his presidential campaign in 2015, Puffy also called him a “friend.”
Although one source claims Diddy doesn’t “like” Trump, it seems he didn’t always feel that way and now wants to use their closeness to his advantage. But will it work? Per two sources, some administration officials who know about the communication with Diddy’s supporters are hesitant about commuting the possible sentence as they think it will be too difficult AND a PR disaster to award him clemency due to the allegations.
Yet you never know with Trump. He has helped powerful pals and celebrities in the past, including Lil Wayne. He granted clemency to the rapper because he thought he was a political supporter. However, Lil Wayne later told Rolling Stone he probably wouldn’t have endorsed him in the last election if asked. Multiple former officials from the first administration felt he was ungrateful and played Trump and his advisors into helping him out. So, would the President even try to lend a hand to Diddy, especially if the guy supposedly doesn’t like him these days?
We’ll have to see what happens with the trial. But one thing is certain: if Diddy is convicted and receives a pardon from Trump, it would be a huge slap in the face to all the victims. Thoughts, Perezcious readers? Let us know in the comments.
