After 32 years, 4 trials, and a life sentence, Australia has finally admitted that a dingo ate Lindy Chamberlain‘s baby.
Back in 1980, two month old Azarla Chamberlain disappeared and the Aussie government refused to believe Lindy’s claims of a dingo kidnapping and killing her child.
After an initial ruling in favor of the theory, THREE other inquests were performed, including a recently opened investigation requested by Lindy.
Now, a coroner FINALLY admits that a dingo DID in fact get her baby.
The third finding left the verdict open, something Lindy Chamberlain (now Chamberlain-Creighton) wanted to change. New evidence found a baby’s jacket next to a dingo den near Azarla’s last location fueled another investigation.
For a woman who had to serve four years in jail over this, we DEFINITELY feel sorry for Lindy Chamberlain.
Maybe now her daughter‘s memory can finally have peace.
