Sad!
Since its opening in 2006 to record numbers, the production of Dirty Dancing — The Classic Story On Stage has entertained millions of people during its run!
But this year, the show is to shutter with no plans yet to replace it:
“Prior to the “Dirty Dancing” run, the 1,163 Aldwych was traditionally a playhouse rather than a tuner venue. Producer Michael Codron, who manages the theater on behalf of the Nederlander Organization, told Daily Variety that no show has yet been inked in to replace it.”
Bummer! Hope they announce something soon!
For all our friends across the pond, there are still some shows left to catch before July 9th!
