Disabled Duck Gets 3-D Printed Foot!!

Buttercup the duck was born with a backwards foot.
Mike Garey, of Feathered Angels Waterfowl Sanctuary, Buttercup’s home, was told by a vet that the foot should be amputated.
So that’s exactly what he did.
Buttercup is all healed up and doing fine now, but Garey wanted to give this ducky a more normal life.
So he reached out to NovaCopy, a 3-D printing company, who offered to help design a new foot for the lucky duck!
So Buttercup’s stump was photographed as well as a foot of one of her healthy relatives.
So now the company can make a flexible duck foot that’ll be just like the real thing!
The foot should be ready in a few weeks, so if U want updates, check out their Facebook page!
So glad this disabled duck will be waddling around like a champ in no time!
