OMG! This is incredible!
Obie the dachshund once weighed an incredible 77 pounds!!
He looked like a fuzzy brown beach ball!!
His life was in danger because he was literally over twice the maximum healthy weight limit for a dachshund.
The poor pup was nearly fed to death by his elderly owners, who eventually gave him up because of his failing health.
Thank goodness his owner Nora Vanatta knows a thing or two about animals, having a degree in animal science.
So after a year of a strict diet and lots and lots of exercise (and even more love) Obie is now a healthy 27 pounds!!
