Divergent did NOT diverge from expectations this weekend.
The film adaptation of the popular book series was on the high side of its tracking, earning a solid $56 million in its opening weekend.
Shailene Woodley has herself a bona fide hit! No wonder the sequel already has the green light!
Unfortunately it’s not easy being green as the second place Muppets Most Wanted learned. The star-studded Disney comedy scored a disappointing $16.5 million despite an incredibly popular viral ad campaign.
Maybe if Kermie got himself some seksi back tattoos…
