Whoa!! That is a crazy near miss!!
Four buddies were diving off the California coast, looking for an upclose whale encounter.
They got a little more than they bargained for when two huge humpback whales breached the surface only a few feet from them as they floated in the water.
Thankfully, one of their buddies was filming them as little feeder fish started frenzying as the whales chased down a meal.
The divers didn’t realize that the little fish “boiling” to the surface meant that they were trying to escape a predator!!
These guys are seriously lucky, not only because this was a rare encounter, but because if they were ten feet to the right, they’d have been eaten!!
