It’s that time again — DIY time!
Shauna Miller of Penny Chic has recruited YouTuber Alyx Weiss to help her with her latest project and show us how to take an old straw basket and turn it into a chic bag perfect for the farmer’s market, or a picnic, or a trip to the beach!

All you need is an old straw bag/basket, some E6000 glue, and some fabric trim, which makes this the EASIEST project you could do!

Step 1: Grab an old basket like Alyx’s from grandma’s attic.
Step 2: Grab some trim from the local fabric store, or also from grandma’s attic.
Step 3: Apply glue liberally to the backside of the trim.
Step 4: Press the trim down firmly onto the edge of the basket. Allow to dry. The E6000 glue is great because, as Shauna says, “it dries fast and bonds HARD.”
Step 5: Style the look with a neutral summer dress and add a pop of color via neon sandals. And hit the town!
