Haiti Rescue Dog Receives National Honor

Well she certainly deserves it!
Pearl, a 4 year old labrador retriever was awarded the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals annual dog award for her work in Haiti, saving those affected by the earthquake.
She was abandoned at a shelter when she was a puppy, but soon adopted by a fire department. Pearl trained and was sent this year to Haiti with a rescue team from the Los Angeles County Fire Department. The county’s seven rescue teams helped bring 12 people to safety.
This is such a great story! Pearl deserves the award for her efforts.
We’re proud of U Pearl!
