Dogs aren’t just mans best friend. They look out for each other too!
Rowdy, a rat terrier in Sacramento, CA, began barking excessively toward a drain pipe along the street while walking with his owner.
It turns out he was barking at another dog, Casper, stuck in the 8-inch drain pipe.
His owner believes Rowdy caught the scent of the 15-year-old dog who had been stuck for days.
Thanks to Rowdy, Casper, who has trouble seeing and walking, is safe and sound with his family again and may even be getting some long deserved special attention.
Casper’s owner Wayne Hernandez told cameras:
“We’ve been kind of taking him for granted, he’s been around for so long, but we’re going to have to try to pamper him a little more. He deserves it after this.”
