Have you ever wondered how dogs can run through snow without yelping like humans?
It’s all in the feet!
Scientists in Japan has discovered the answer. In a study, dog paws were found to have very fatty tissue, which doesn’t freeze as much as other tissue.
Coupled with arteries and veins that close together, the paws transfer heat to their venules and warms their entire body in the process.
The research shows that dogs can run in temps as low as -35 degrees Celsius!
