Say it ain’t so!
A court date has been set for Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana‘s re-opened tax evasion lawsuit.
The two men will stand trial on December 3rd, and if they’re found guilty of not paying Uncle Sam’s Italian brother Lo Zio Samuele, then they could face three years in prison! Or they could just pay $1.3 million and call it a day.
No wonder they’d rather go through the legal issues when they only face that fine versus the millions they actually owe, which was about $538.1 million!
D&G’s accountant├óΓé¼Γäós attorney, Giuseppe Bana, is confident the duo will be off the hook, saying he├óΓé¼Γäós “extremely optimistic.” The deputy chairman of Milan consultancy InterCorporate echoed his sentiment and called the charges “excessive.”
We agree! They already dropped the charges once!
