There are very few people in the industry that didn’t feel the loss of Dick Clark last week. However, those who knew him best were hit that much harder, and Dolly Parton is one of the celebs to really feel his passing.
Upon hearing of his death, Dolly release a poignant statement about the icon. She not only reflected on the impact Dick had on the world, but also the influence he had on her life — and her heart!
Dolly reminisces about Dick, saying
No one could have been nicer, classier nor better looking than Dick Clark. I’ve had a crush on him since I was a teenager. But much more than that, who in this world has done more for the music industry? He will always stay young and special in the minds of all of us. May you rest in peace.
