We’re glad to hear he’s changed his mind!
You may remember Domenico Dolce‘s offensive remarks made back in March about children born via IVF and surrogate, when he called them “synthetic.”

Well, it resulted in a boycott of D&G products led by Elton John, which was joined in by tons of other celebs, including Ellen DeGeneres, Andy Cohen, and Madonna!
Yours truly even appeared on CNN to talk about the controversy!
In a new interview, one half of Dolce & Gabbana has now apologized, and for real this time:
“I am so sorry. It was not my intention to offend anyone. I’ve done some soul-searching. I’ve talked to Stefano a lot about this. I’ve realized that my words were inappropriate, and I apologize. They are just kids. You don’t need labels, baby labels.”
He has also come to be more accepting of IVF:
“I think everybody chooses for themselves. I don’t know everything about IVF, but I love it when people are happy. It’s like medicine. Science has been put on the table to help people.”
Despite his Catholic upbringing and the very religious culture in Italy, the designer currently feels that it’s important to be more open-minded:
“Who needs an institution to tell us how to love? We shouldn’t become too rigid. We need to understand, accept everyone.”
Now THAT is very well said!
What do you think of this apology, Perezcious readers???
