Donald Trump just admitted the REAL reason for building his massive White House ballroom: a secret underground lair!
While speaking to press aboard Air Force One on Sunday, as seen in a video shared by the White House, the 79-year-old dismissed the expensive new White House ballroom as a glorified “shed” to cover what he REALLY has his sights set on: a secret underground “complex” built by the US military. He said:
“The military is building a big complex under the ballroom, which has come out recently because of a stupid lawsuit that was filed. But the military is building a massive complex under the ballroom, and that’s under construction. And we’re doing very well. So we’re ahead of schedule. And the ballroom essentially becomes a shed for what’s being built under the military.”
Sure is one expensive “shed.” Originally, the budget was $200 million, but that doubled in December when Trump replaced the original architect. It’s long been speculated there was a greater purpose behind the large and pricey ballroom, and previous reports claimed the structure would hold a revamped, top-secret underground bomb shelter. Based on Trump’s latest comments, that might not be so wrong!

Describing the East Wing renovation, the convicted felon continued:
“It’s become really beautiful. It matches and fits the White House; it’s also capable of handling the inauguration.”
He noted all the glass will be “bulletproof” and the roof and exterior will be “drone-proof.” He detailed:
“I thought I’d do this now because it’s easier. I’m so busy that I don’t have time to do this. I’m fighting wars and other things, but this is very important because this is going to be with us for a long time, and it’s going to be … I think it’ll be the greatest ballroom anywhere in the world.”
And it’s not just a ballroom, apparently, either! We’re eager to hear more about what kind of “complex” the military is building underground…

Last week, Trump addressed the military connection during a Cabinet meeting after sources informed CNN of the full scope of the plan in January. The Celebrity Apprentice alum said:
“Now it’s no secret the military wanted it more than anybody. It was supposed to be secret but it became un-secret because of people that are really unpatriotic saying things. But, it doesn’t matter, it doesn’t matter. It’s going to be great.”
He continued:
“This ballroom is gonna be something. It’s so beautiful for this city, so desperately needed by presidents. I get sued over a ballroom that’s the most beautiful ballroom in the country. You won’t have tents sitting on the wet White House lawn — if it rains, you get wiped out — to honor the president of China or the president of France.”
