Donald Trump‘s tweets are ALWAYS bad, but Friday morning, he crossed a line and did something truly disgusting — even relative to his own (already extremely low) standards.
Just a couple hours ago, The Donald took a shot at Dr. Christine Blasey Ford, the woman who has bravely come forward with her story about the time, back in high school, that potential Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh allegedly sexually assaulted her.

While Kavanaugh himself has been put on the defensive and the Senate Judiciary Committee has (begrudgingly) asked Dr. Ford to testify about the allegations at one of Kavanaugh’s hearings next week, this morning Trump proved exactly why it’s so difficult for women to come forward and reveal serious accusations like this in public against high-profile men.

I have no doubt that, if the attack on Dr. Ford was as bad as she says, charges would have been immediately filed with local Law Enforcement Authorities by either her or her loving parents. I ask that she bring those filings forward so that we can learn date, time, and place!

No, seriously — shame on him. This isn’t some mindless tweet where the Cheeto is lying about his poll numbers; tweets like this do actual, irreparable harm to the victims of sexual assault.

As the #MeToo movement has shown, statistically women may never come forward or wait years to discuss sexual assault and sexual misconduct accusations. When they do finally come forward, they are relentlessly, ruthlessly attacked, mocked, shamed, and shouted down by other powerful men while receiving threats against their personal security and safety.
And then the accused continue to wonder, somehow, why more women just don’t come forward after sexual assault and sexual misconduct.
Seriously?
