In case you haven’t noticed, Donald Trump decided to celebrate Black History Month by changing its name to African American History Month!
Yes, the same guy who made his speech meant to “honor” the African-American community all about himself has disappointed us yet again.

According to TMZ‘s senior administration official insider, the President thought the term “black” was outdated and decided “African American” was more appropriate. All this after his meeting with a group of African American leaders, where he brought up Frederick Douglass and even implied he was alive by using present tense.
Smh.
The change is supposedly reflecting the Smithsonian‘s newest National Museum of African American History and Culture.
Except what Trump missed is how offensive it comes off!! See some Twitter reactions (below):

I can’t imagine the rationale behind changing Black History Month to African American History month. Like, at all.

#BlackHistoryMonth is now African American History Month because black is dated, yet we still rely on #GroundhogDay to determine the weather
