OMG Trump Gave Kimberly Guilfoyle That Ambassadorship Because His Son’s New Girlfriend Wants Her ‘Out Of The Area’

Most of the appointments Donald Trump is handing out are to fellow billionaires, who we fully expect to manipulate the US economy to their benefit. But there are a lot of positions — and apparently he can spare one to help out his ne’er-do-well son’s overcomplicated love life.

The news the president-elect nominated his son Donald Trump Jr.’s fiancée Kimberly Guilfoyle as the US ambassador to Greece came right at the same time as the news Junior had broken off the engagement. It kind of felt like some kind of consolation prize. Maybe a gift to keep her from turning around and writing a tell-all about their family. But it’s pettier than that, if you can believe it.

As we’ve been following, Don Jr. is now dating Bettina Anderson, that socialite he’d been seen several times with in the last few months of the engagement. You know, the side relationship that reportedly “blindsided” Kimberly? On Wednesday, an insider told People they’ve been together a while, they just didn’t want their mini scandal to hurt daddy’s chances:

“They waited for the election to pass but they didn’t want the split to get in the way of anything to hurt Donald in the election.”

That makes sense. But why would Trump nominate the former Fox News personality to such an important position if his son called it quits with her?

Well, it turns out it’s actually because of Bettina. People‘s source said it was part of a tactful plan to send Kimberly packing:

“Bettina wants Kim out of the area. They are trying to send Kim abroad.”

Wow. Politics really are just a big joke to these people, huh? ESPECIALLY when the Trump family is involved… We mean, our new ambassador to Greece was picked SOLELY because the president-elect’s son’s new GF doesn’t want to share Florida with his ex? We literally can’t make this stuff up.
