Dave Chappelle Allegedly Defends Donald Trump, Goes On Anti-Hillary Clinton Rant In Bizarre Set

no title
This is a very bizarre set, even for Dave Chappelle
The comedian — who, by the way, just made the news for a VERY big announcement — was doing a 60-minute set in New York on Friday night when he started defending and supporting Donald Trump while going off on Hillary Clinton ahead of the presidential election on Tuesday.
Wait, what??

According to The Observer, Chappelle was not concerned in the slightest by Trump’s infamous 2005 lewd comments video with Billy Bush — and Chappelle even went so far as to blame Clinton’s campaign for leaking it, as opposed to, you know, holding Trump accountable for those disgusting words.
The comedian said:

“What I heard on that tape was gross. But the way I got to hear it was even more gross. You know that came directly from Hillary.”

That’s not all, though — Chappelle alleges that what was said on the tape was not sexual assault, arguing:

“Sexual assault? It wasn’t. He said, ‘And when you’re a star, they let you do it.’ That phrase implies consent. I just don’t like the way the media twisted that whole thing. Nobody questioned it.”

Hmm…
Now, Chappelle has already voted for Clinton — it appears he cast an early vote in Ohio for the former Secretary of State — but he chose to devote a LOT of his set to… demolishing her in favor of The Donald?!
That doesn’t make much sense.

Chappelle also compared Trump to The Terminator, and said this about how the real estate mogul claims things are rigged:

“Something about this was backward. A gay white man and a white woman asking a multibillionaire how he knows the system is rigged and insisting it’s not. Does that sound right to you? It didn’t seem right to me. And here’s how you know Trump is the most gangsta candidate ever. They asked him how he knows the system is rigged and he said, ‘Because I take advantage of it.’ He may as well have flashed his membership card for the Illuminati right then.”

Uh… OK!
Chappelle went deeper than just a bizarre pro-Trump stance, though.
He also called out women’s rights and LGBT rights, speaking about activists and criticizing those in that field for putting their rights ahead of the persistent race issues in America, saying:

“They should not be having that conversation in front of black people. You go ahead and feel something about your rights. But if you’re putting sexism and homophobia and transphobia in front of racism, you should be ashamed of yourself.”

Wow. That definitely isn’t the first time he’s done that kind of stuff.

Hmm… does Dave know you can advocate for the end of homophobia, transphobia, sexism, and racism all at once???
Regardless, one Twitter user who claims to have been at the show last night that are saying his comments were “taken out of context” (below):

That middle part is correct — Jared Kushner, Trump’s son-in-law, owns The Observer, the paper which had the original story about Chappelle.
Recording devices are not allowed at the venue where the comedian performed last night, and thus, it’s not possible to verify everything that was said because there is no audio proof.
But, there’s all that, for what it’s worth.
What do U think, Perezcious readers??
