Donald Trump SELLS Miss Universe -- Less Than A Week After Buying Out NBC! Who Owns It Now?!

no title
Well, so much for The Donald sticking with this one!
Less than a week after buying out NBC‘s stake in the Miss Universe pageant, Donald Trump has cut the pageant group loose, selling it off to WME-IMG on Monday morning.

Trump, who has previously threatened legal action against NBC and Univision for nearly half a billion (!) dollars over the pageants in question, commented on the quick re-sale of the pageant property he had worked so hard to own outright, saying:

“I have truly enjoyed owning the Miss Universe, Miss USA, and Miss Teen USA pageants. When I purchased the pageants many years ago, they were in serious trouble. It has been a great honor making them so successful and I have really enjoyed watching the pageants grow throughout the USA and worldwide. The pageants are now in the hands of a great company that will shepherd them to even greater levels of success.”

Considering Trump has owned the Miss Universe properties for so long (he first bought a stake in 1996), it will be crazy to think that after 20 years, the pageant group — which includes Miss Universe, Miss USA, and Miss Teen USA — will be completely out from underneath his control.
Meanwhile, Trump’s Presidential candidacy continues, and celebs are sounding off about it!
Ch-ch-check out what Matt Damon, Sandra Bullock, Emily Blunt, and more had to say about Trump’s campaign at the Toronto International Film Festival this weekend:
