This is insane.
As we reported, Donald Trump made an extremely totalitarian move yesterday by putting a freeze on all financial support to the Environmental Protection Agency while calling for a total media blackout — meaning, EPA employees are not allowed to post on the Agency’s social media, answer journalists’ questions, or send out press releases.
Various other government agencies are being subjected to the same silencing. It’s a move straight out of page two of the dictator handbook.
Then a hero came along… (*’90s Mariah Carey voice*)
And by hero, we mean the ex-Badlands National Park employee who hijacked the organization’s Twitter account to post a series of climate change facts… just as Drumpf was signing off on gag orders!! Yas!

The tweets made reference to climate change, something our new POTUS called a “hoax” on the campaign trail.
Are we really going to let this orange man tell us science isn’t real just because he doesn’t think his constituency would approve?!

The tweets have since been deleted as they were supposedly unauthorized by the park, but the gesture was amazing nonetheless. Not to mention, @BadlandsNPS now has 173,000 followers — a huge jump from their original reported 7,000!
