Donald Trump was asked a simple question about his health, and somehow, the reporter ended up getting a full-blown insult session about HIS appearance! Seriously. What just happened?!
The 80-year-old president was talking to reporters in Maryland on Thursday when Reuters journalist Jacob Bogage brought up Trump’s canceled Saturday rally in Kansas. With the midterm elections just days away and Trump crisscrossing the country, Bogage wanted to know whether all that travel was catching up with him.

Sounds like a fair question, right? Well, Trump certainly didn’t think so!
When Bogage asked if skipping Kansas had anything to do with being “sick of traveling,” Trump fired back:
“Oh, you’re sick to ask that question.”
Then he demanded to know the reporter’s employer. Upon hearing it was Reuters, he took another swipe at the outlet before turning his attention to Bogage’s BODY! Trump said:
“Look at this guy. He’s way out of shape.”
Uh… WHAT?!?! And it got WORSE!
Trump insisted his health was just fine, declaring “I feel perfect.” Then came the personal attack:
“You are disgusting. Put yourself in shape. You look like hell!”
WTF?!?!?!
Yes. The president of the United States said THAT to a journalist asking about his schedule.
But here’s the part that might be even more ridiculous: The White House didn’t try to smooth things over. Its Rapid Response 47 account celebrated the exchange on X (Twitter), then posted screenshots of Bogage from apparent food taste-test videos with the caption “Sloppy!”
Really?! The official White House response was to pile on with MORE insults about a reporter’s appearance?!

For the record, Trump said he didn’t need to campaign in Kansas because Republican Sen. Roger Marshall was doing well. And on Friday, he reversed course and rescheduled in-person events in both Kansas and Iowa.
Womp womp!
There’s no confirmed illness behind the schedule changes or anything, but one thing is clear: a routine reporter question set off a remarkably nasty confrontation.
