Sometimes love makes you do strange things, just ask Donna Karan.
In a new interview, Miz Karan reveals how she fell in love with her second husband, Stephan Weiss, while she was at her engagement party to first hubby and childhood sweetheart, Mark Karan.
Reveals Karan:
├óΓé¼┼ôI was engaged to be married to Mark, and then all of a sudden, at the engagement party, Stephan walks into the room, and I thought, Oh my God, who is he? Ten years older, ponytail, artist – the whole nine yards├óΓé¼┬ª
I went to Paris and said to Paris, “What do I do? Here’s a guy, my best friend, my first boyfriend when I was 16 years old. He was going to take care of me. Or this other guy who is an artist, hot, bohemian, sort of unavailable. What do I do?” So I married Mark three days later.”
Karan divorced from hubby number one in 1978, but they did have a gorgeous daughter named Gabby.
Also interesting to learn, Karan admits she flunked out of fashion school!
Reveals the famous designer:
├óΓé¼┼ôI went to Parsons, but I didn’t graduate. You know that? I had to go to summer school, because I failed draping. I showed them.├óΓé¼┬¥
Just goes to show, if you’re determined enough, you can still reach your goals despite the obstacles.
