No surprises here.
To recap, the judge in Dr. Conrad Murray’s involuntary manslaughter trial over the death of Michael Jackson previously ruled that the jury would NOT be sequestered.
Then on Saturday, we learned that Murray’s defense team filed an appeal on that decision.
Now, as we expected, the appeal was denied, and jury selection for the MJ murder trial begins this Thursday in Los Angeles.
Dr. Conrad Murray tried VERY hard to get out of it, but he will in fact take the stand in the trial, and he’ll have to do it alone because an LA judge has ruled that MJ’s other doctor Arnold Klein “could not be called to testify.”
Here’s what Dr. Murray’s lawyer Edward Chernoff had to say about it:
“Dr. Murray is, naturally, devastated. He sees forces aligned against him and does not know why he├óΓé¼Γäós not allowed to put on a defense.”
We’re just glad to see things finally moving forward with this trial. Soon Michael’s family and loved ones will be able to get closure once and for all.
