Looks like the Dr. Pepper may be just what the doctor ordered!
104-year-old Elizabeth Sullivan of Fort Worth, Texas credits the soda to her long life.
Just how long has Elizabeth been downing the DP? A long, long time.
“I started drinking them about 40 years ago. Three a day. Every doctor that sees me says they’ll kill you, but they die and I don’t. So there must be a mistake somewhere.”
We did the math. Three sodas a day over 40 years? That’s a whopping 43,800 cans of Dr. Pepper. Here’s hoping she recycles!
For her 104th birthday, Elizabeth got a special cake shaped like a Dr. Pepper can. She even received a gift basket from the Dr. Pepper Soda Group!
The centenarian adds:
“People try to give me coffee for breakfast. Well, I’d rather have a Dr. Pepper.”
She’s definitely the best advertisement we’ve seen for the brand that, which has been around since 1885!
