Oh no!
As if this lawsuit filed against Dr. Phil McGraw and his wife Robin by their former bff Janet Harris couldn’t get any worse for the TV doc!
Sources are now stepping forward to claim that their beloved dog Maggie had previously attacked TWO other people!
That’s not going to look good in court.
One source close to the McGraw family has said:
“That dog bit me a few times, and I know she also bit an employee of theirs; that person had to go to the hospital and get stitches in their heel.”
Geez! What’s wrong with this dog?
It might have something to do with the fact that Maggie, who was adopted from a shelter, is a rare purebred Korean Jindo specifically bred for hunting and is known to be fiercely territorial and protective of its owner.
It seems that the couple were aware of their dog’s temper because a source continued to explain:
“Staff at the house used to try to keep Maggie away when people turned up. They had to throw treats so Maggie would get distracted and go into another room away from where visitors were.”
The part of Janet’s claim that really makes us wonder about Phil and Robin’s responsibility for their pet is that after being notified of the incident, the couple “just turned their backs and walked away”.
Say what!?!?
We love dogs and we love the fact that Dr. Phil rescued Maggie from a shelter, but for the McGraw’s sake, we sincerely hope this account is not true.
Every pet owner should take responsibility for their pet’s actions, ESPECIALLY if it attacks somebody!
