A Mexican cartel tried their hand at some arts and crafts in order to sneak some weed into the US this week!
They painted packages filled with pot to look like watermelons and then attempted to smuggle a whole truckload across the border!
Customs and Border Patrol officials stopped the vehicle carrying this fake fruit outside of Tucson, Arizona and gave the shipment a quick X-ray scan.
It didn’t take long for officers to realize that wasn’t delicious fruit inside of those melons!
Just another day in the life of a border agent!
Bryan Flowers has seen it ALL in his job and says the schemes these drug cartels come up with never ceases to amaze him or his co-workers!
He explained:
“These criminals use a lot of unique ways to try to conceal their narcotics. We’ve seen individuals use false compartments in the seats and gas tanks. We’ve also found marijuana in tractor trailers here before.├óΓé¼┬¥
So while we give an A for effort to these marijuana movers, we’d suggest you work on your painting skillz.
That watermelon looks rotten at best!
