Wait. They sing too???
Evidently the Robertson family can now claim to have a hit record to match their hit TV show! The Duck Dynasty clan’s Christmas album has been selling nonstop this past week!
So, apparently to their loyal fans, homophobia and holiday spirit go hand in hand!
Blugh.
According to newly released data, Duck the Halls: A Robertson Family Christmas sold 132,000 units following the anti-gay comments made by Phil Robertson in GQ magazine.
That’s a 22% increase from its sales the week before and nearly twice as many copies than it sold in its first week on store shelves back in October!
We’re sure some will suggest that the success of this album proves that people side with Phil and the rest of the Robertsons in their right to say hateful things about other people.
But no amount of album sales would ever make it right to say cruel things about the LGBT community!
The CD features several guest vocalists, including Alison Krauss, Luke Bryan, Josh Turner and George Strait, who sings a duet with Phil called Christmas Cookies.
No thanks. We’d rather keep cranking our Kelly Clarkson Wrapped In Red album!
