Dustin Hoffman has a viral video!
A 2012 interview has resurfaced where things get super emotional when the mega-star talks about his role in 1982’s Tootsie!
In the Sydney Pollack-directed film, Dustin stars as Michael Dorsey, an actor struggzin’ to find a job — until he dresses as a woman and lands a female lead on a soap opera!
Classic movie hilarity, right?
Not so much for Dusty!
In the interview, the actor explains going to the (movie) studio and asking for make-up tests so that he could see if he could walk down the streets of NYC dressed as a woman and not get weird stares!
Dustin explains:
“When we got to that point and looked at it on screen, I was shocked that I wasn’t more attractive. I said, ‘Now you have me looking like a woman, now make me a beautiful woman.’ Because I thought I should be beautiful. … And they said to me, ‘That’s as good as it gets.'”
He then starts to cry, recalling a later convo with his wife about the standards of female beauty.
Waterworks ensue!!!
We don’t want to give it all away, so watch the video (above) to see the emotionally unexpected interview!
