Ed Westwick Removed & Replaced From Already-Filmed BBC Agatha Christie Drama Ordeal By Innocence Amid Sexual Assault Investigation

no title
Ed Westwick has been cut out of the BBC‘s Agatha Christie drama Ordeal By Innocence after being accused by three women of sexual assault.
The TV drama had already been shot and was originally supposed to air over Christmas, but in this climate, producers thought it would be best to take a page out of Ridley Scott‘s pagebook: recast the problem and reshoot.
The Gossip Girl alum is being replaced by Christian Cooke, with his scenes to be reshot later this month. Producers announced the news on Friday, adding that a new broadcast date would be revealed down the line.

Filming of White Gold, another series Westwick was starring in, has been paused.
This news comes months after Scott decided to replace Kevin Spacey with Christopher Plummer in his drama All The Money in the World amid Spacey’s own sexual misconduct scandal — except Spacey isn’t pleading innocence, unlike Westwick.
As we reported, the LAPD is looking into the accusations that came out against Westwick in late 2017. The 30-year-old categorically denied the three separate allegations, offering his full cooperation to investigators.
Westwick may be hoping to clear his name, but producers clearly don’t want to be part of this ordeal.
