Ed Westwick Deletes Social Media Posts Denying Sexual Assault Allegations

no title
Ed Westwick has rid his social media accounts of any sexual assault denials.
The Gossip Girl alum recently erased several Twitter and Instagram posts in which he denied the accusations of assault and rape made against him by three women.

The move comes amid the LA District Attorney’s Office’s review of one of the allegations dating back to 2014, when a woman says she was raped by the actor during a visit to his home, and seems to be directed by Westwick’s new attorney.
According to Us Weekly, the actor hired a “high-profile L.A.-based female criminal lawyer” to represent him. A source explained:

“It’s his lawyer’s policy for people to not use social media.”

Probably a good idea.
As we reported, the investigation was turned over to the D.A.’s office last week from the Los Angeles Police Department. When the first sexual assault accusation came against Westwick in November, he wrote on social media:

“I do not know this woman. I have never forced myself in any manner, on any woman. I certainly have never committed rape.”

Sounds like Ed’s lawyer wants to avoid any “he doth protest too much” mentalities.
