Check out this video from the Edmonton Humane Society about this inspiring dog, Esperanza, named “Mother of the Year” by the organization.
She was found by an animal rescue group with a broken leg as she nursed her litter of 5 puppies AND a kitten!

A surgeon donated his time to fix the brave mothers leg and it looks like her litter of puppies and adopted kitten, Jacob, are doing great!
They are currently looking for a foster home that can properly care for Esperanza and her family!
