This sounds like a story from the Brothers Grimm!
A rampaging male elephant ran in and destroyed a house in a West Bengal village while the family was eating dinner!
But what’s crazy is that this elephant took special care to make sure the trapped crying 10-month-old baby in the crumbled house was okay.
Mr. Dipak Mahato told the whole story, saying:
“We ran over and were shocked to see the wall in pieces and a tusker standing over our baby. She was crying and there were huge chunks of the wall lying all around and on the cot. The tusker started moving away but when our child started crying again, it returned and used its trunk to remove the debris.”
And momma Lalita Mahato said:
├óΓé¼┼ôWe worship Lord Ganesh (the elephant god) in our village. Still, I can’t believe that the tusker saved my daughter after breaking down the door and smashing a wall. We watched amazed as it gently removed the debris that had fallen on her. It’s a miracle.”
What’s even more nutzo is that this lone male has killed three people in the last year, and has damaged at least 17 houses! The nearby 18-elephant herd has only harmed crops.
In the end, the little girl just had external injuries and will be a-okay!
