Eli Kicks Avatar Off It's High Horse

It had to happen eventually!

This weekend, it looks like the box-office title will be stripped from the blue warriors of James Cameron’s imagination.

If the numbers remain consistent throughout the weekend, Denzel Washington’s new flick The Book of Eli will out-gross Avatar. On Friday, Eli raked in $11.7 million verse Avatar, which only nabbed $10.5 million.

Course, there still some time to get back on top, but it just goes to show that Avatar’s reign can’t last forever.
