So Sad!
After feeling ill over Thanksgiving, Elizabeth Edwards was hospitalized and found out the unsettling news that her cancer has metastasized to her liver.
Doctors have advised against treatment and informed the 61-year-old, who was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2004, that “further treatment of her cancer would be unproductive.”
On Monday Elizabeth posted a message on Facebook to her friends, reading:
“I have been sustained throughout my life by three saving graces ├óΓé¼ΓÇ£ my family, my friends, and a faith in the power of resilience and hope,” she writes. “These graces have carried me through difficult times and they have brought more joy to the good times than I ever could have imagined. The days of our lives, for all of us, are numbered. We know that.”
Family members and her children have rushed to be by her side at the news of the sudden turn.
