Well, that’s a strange reaction!
For a woman who works in television, one might think there could be no higher honor than to draw comparisons to the queen of daytime, Mrs. Oprah Winfrey!
So why did Ellen DeGeneres, O’s heir apparent, get a tad touchy when someone suggested they might be similar?
The New York Times just published a terrific feature about Ellen, her TV show, and her important cultural impact, but we were super surprised to learn the voice of Finding Nemo‘s Dory does NOT appreciate being compared to Oprah!!!
When asked about it, she suddenly got tense.
Then she revealed:
“Oprah is very business minded. I├óΓé¼Γäóm just not that way. I├óΓé¼Γäóm happy my show is successful. But I am also just content just to be me.├óΓé¼┬¥
Wow! We wonder why she’s distancing herself from Oprah when most people would be flattered by the mere suggestion?!
Is it possible there’s bad blood between these two daytime divas?
Naaaaaaaah! They’re both way too AMAZEBALLZ for something as plebeian as a petty feud!
Ellen just enjoys marching dancing to the beat of her own drummer, that’s all!
