Even though Ellen Page received support from millions of people (including us) after she came out last month, we knew her brush with homophobia wouldn’t be far behind.
Recently, Miz Page received a letter from a pastor who denounced her sexuality.
So wrong. So rude. So unnecessary.
But, that’s unfortunately the world we live in.
Rather than just rip the letter up and get on with her life though, Ellen decided to take to Twitter to fire back at this hateful note and the man who sent it.
Ch-ch-check out what she tweeted over the weekend:
2 da Pastor who wrote me-Being gay isn't a belief. My soul isnt struggling& I don't want arms of Heavenly Father around me.A girls arms? Yes.

NAILED IT!
We think her response is EXACTLY what this guy needed to hear. No need for name calling or denouncing his religious beliefs. Just a short, smart message to show she heard what he had to say and frankly, SHE DON’T CARE!
We’d also love for you to have a girl’s arms wrapped around you, EP!
Hooray for love and witty comebacks at bigots!
