What a wonderful cause!
Grey’s Anatomy star Ellen Pompeo is taking a stand for women’s health, and starting today, will launch a national campaign with the American Cancer Society to promote the prevention of the horrible disease!
She says:
“Cancer is something that touches everyone’s lives. Women are busy taking care of other people. This is about choosing yourself. My daily schedule is quite hectic, but I have to put my health first in order to be the best mom and wife I can be.”
Elizabeth Fontham, of the American Cancer Society, agrees:
“Women hold the keys to cancer prevention because they are the chief medical and chief operating officers of their individual households. But they really struggle to make their own health a priority.”
Well-spoken! It’s time to take care of yourselves, ladies!
