Ellen DeGeneres is set in place to be the heir to Oprah Winfrey‘s daytime TV throne!!
Because of funny lady’s immense popularity, Warner Brothers has brokered a deal to keep Ellen’s daytime talk show renewed through 2014, giving her the opportunity to stand out from the rest of daytime TV talk shows when Winfrey’s show ends in 2011. According to the Q Scores Company, which measures consumer preferences, DeGeneres is already seen as more likable than Winfrey!!
That’s some heavy shiz!!
And while Oprah still tops Ellen in ratings by a long shot, Oprah’s viewership has declined while Ellen’s is on the rise, and according to studies, her program has been improving in viewers’ eyes for several years!!
Not to mention the added viewers that Ellen’s show will get now that she is also judging American Idol!!
It seems to us like everything is falling into place for Oprah to bow out and have Ellen immediately segue into her position as daytime TV giant!!
Those are some big shoes to fill, Ellen!
