Post-Breakup Ellie Goulding Reveals She Is Taking A Break From Music!

As we reported last month, Ellie Goulding and boyfriend Dougie Poynter broke up after two years of dating. According to sources, both parties are simply too busy.

On Thursday, the Lights singer wrote on Twitter that she is taking a break from her career.
The 29-year-old wrote :

I am not quitting music, I’ve come too far for that! Just having a break. It’s been seven years since I had time off…. Love you all

However, is her breakup with the McFly member to blame?!
Perhaps!
Earlier this week, she said:

“People think I’m invincible but these past few weeks have been tough├óΓé¼┬ª When you’re in the public eye, it seems like you’re able to deal with stuff better than anyone else, which is not remotely true. I’m not in a relationship anymore and that’s been hard. Having a break will be a good thing for me and my head.”

In fact, she just wants to take it day by day.

“I’m not writing new stuff. I’m not sure when I’ll release a new album. It might not even be next year. I need time off for my own head. My plan is to have a month off in August and do more of my charity stuff and then next year I need to live a bit. Who knows? My situation has changed.”

We’re definitely going to miss you Ellie!
