Emma Thompson might not be the first person to come to mind when you think controversy.
But she shared an opinion on Sunday that landed her in some hot water!
Emma is a great mother, there’s no denying that: hell, she took a year off from her a career to spend more time with her 14-year-old daughter Gaia Wise!
Emma said:
“A year off was my birthday present to myself. I didn├óΓé¼Γäót actually act or write. I was just a mum. I taught drama at my daughter├óΓé¼Γäós school, cooked meals, and had fun. I highly recommend others to do the same, if they can afford it.”
That’s a great idea! The only problem is many people don’t share her $50 million fortune.
So people were obviously upset when she continued:
“You can├óΓé¼Γäót be a great mum and keep working all the time.”
Whoa, that’s a little intense!
There are so many incredible mothers out there who work multiple jobs and still find time to be there for their kids!
We understand what she’s trying to say, we only wish she’d have thought a little more about what words she was going to use!
