If you enjoyed this year’s Emmy Awards, don’t tell that to Ellen Pompeo!
The star of the five-time Emmy winning Grey’s Anatomy found the 2013 ceremony to be completely lacking of diversity — something you wouldn’t think to be such an issue in 2013!
Her feelings are blunt and clear as she says:
“I didn’t see any diversity in the Emmys at all. The Emmys felt so dated to me. That dance number was embarrassing. Did you see one person of color in that dance number? … I’m extremely proud of our very, very diverse cast, which represents the world that I walk around in every day.”
Harsh words or much needed words??
We think we could all go for a lil’ more diversity!!
