Elton John may have said goodbye to the yellow brick road, but he’s saying hello to the red carpet of the Emmys as a special performer for the first time ever!
Elton John will be playing and paying a tribute performance to the late fellow piano man Liberace, whose life was the inspiration for Behind the Candelabra, which is up for 15 Emmy awards.
The performance seems pretty fitting seeing how Elton is already a living, breathing tribute to the glamorous magnificence of Liberace’s spectacles!
Also, it’s nice to have Elton tickling the ivories at a ceremony where so many nominees will be wishing, “hold me closer, tiny statues!”
We hope Elton don’t mind (we hope he don’t mind) that we put down in words, how wonderful we think that awards show will be with him on the stage!
Hmm although we do wonder if things will get weird with Neil Patrick Harris since Elton’s hubby gave the Emmy host an ass grasp to remember! LOLz!
